thursday’s child

This feeling is the beating in your chest, her body is resisting an arrest, tonight they dance to the sound of unrest and tomorrow they are gone.

This evening is for better or for worse the first time that she’s witnessing the curse, another friend goes down on Holdenhurst to the calls for pistols at dawn.

Why did it all seem fine when the clock struck midnight? Karma lives on the backstreets and it’s never on your side. “It was only the one time” and that was her last line. A victim at the crime scene, will she make it out alive?

Cheap thrills and part time kicks, hands outs for small town addicts. Who would’ve thought it would come to this? Making the headlines for the first and last time.
